"A Taste Of Newport" was a yuppie street fair deep behind the Orange Curtain. They wouldn't accept cash, they were giving out debit cards that I loaded with cash if I wanted beer or food.
I really wanted to see Blondie and had missed the House Of Blues show earlier in the year. Unfortunately being carless it was a tough one. But I was able to find a way there on public transportation. 5 buses there and 5 back, including an early morning jaunt through Compton and South Central L.A. Left the house at 1:05pm Saturday and returned at 6:30am the next morning. I brought some no doze so I wouldn't pass out and miss a connection. It was a great show and one of the best ever sound systems at a fair event. It was well worth the hassle getting there and back.
I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I am.
